Here’s a song I’ve been listening to – in various formats and styles – for 4 years now.

It’s by DASTARDS – and it’s called SCAFFOLDS of MUSCLE

Let us know what you think!

This week in Feb SCAFFOLDS OF MUSCLE was played on Fame Games radio (which is syndicated across the US and Europe) and also on the local BBC radio station.

SCAFFOLDS was actually recorded in 2006!

DASTARDS are the best new band in Britain?

I’ve often heard that said – but it’s funny how the music business prefers to pretend the band doesn’t exist! We have sent CD’s to Radio One – ever get a play? – No (but we did get an email from Jo Whiley saying it wasn’t her thing – we’ll remind her of that one day!)

We’ve sent CD’s to NME – ever get a review? – No.

We’ve sent emails to publishing companies. Do we even get a reply? – No!

The music business is in a mess – and if music scouts, a&r, and programme controllers etc can’t recognise a good sound when they hear it – it is unlikely that the business is going to recover anytime soon.

I have an uncanny knack of being able to spot a hit. However I don’t hear them very often – and sadly I hear a lot of stuff on the radio that just does not deserve to be there.

What DASTARDS needs is airplay. The rest will follow. Radio 1 presenters please take note. When the success comes you’ll be begging to have the band in the studio. And where will the band be? With our mates at Kerrang – the station that has supported us!
