DASTARDS play Colston Hall and Bristol O2 in the same weekend

Monday, September 6th, 2010

Here’s the band playing (in their new acoustic guise) playing at Colston Hall in Bristol on Friday 3rd September

DASTARDS play the Firefly – and other news!

Wednesday, May 5th, 2010

DASTARDS play at the Firefly in Worcester tomorrow night (6th May – Election night). Starts at 8pm (don’t be late). Also on are Tantrums and Barefoot. Not seen either of these before.

Plus a TV company has asked the band to audition on 13th May for a forthcoming TV programme. (That’s all we can say on that one).

And DASTARDS have re-recorded The Sympathy March at the Magic Garden Studio. The track was produced by Gavin Monaghan (who also produced The Editors, The Twang, Kings of Leon, Ocean Colour Scene etc. etc.)

And BBC Hereford & Worcester played ‘Pylon’ last Friday night. I sent them the newly recorded track but I suspect that it takes a while to get through the BBC’s ‘uploader’ system ..

DASTARDS play BRISTOL for HAITI

Friday, February 12th, 2010

DASTARDS are putting on a show this coming Monday (15th Feb 2009) at Joe Public’s in Bristol.

The night is called ‘BANDAGE’ and is to raise money for the people of Haiti. It’s FREE ENTRY and there will be a bucket passed round for donations to the DEC appeal. Also are are HOT FICTION. Should be a great night!

Our new postcards have arrived so we’ll be giving lots away during the night.

Join us on Monday and hear some previously unplayed tracks (like PYLON and BLOOD) from Britains hottest new unsigned band.

See you there – STRETCH

DASTARDS gig gets moved to The Enterprise

Friday, December 11th, 2009

Last nights gig was moved at the last minute (we only heard during the drive down) – and was therefore a complete shambles. We had to stop and get the details of the new venue. So the band arrived late. All the people who were coming to see the band went to the original venue – and couldn’t get in because it was a private party.

So – the band had no time to sound check, were still stressed out from the journey (the road was closaed outside the venue so it meant an extra 20 minutes trying to find another route in London traffic), there were very few people there (even though the pub downstairs was full).

Anyway – the band gave it their best shot and then retreated outside to re-group.

Highlight of the evening? Hearing the new version of FLASHLIGHTS. It was only a rough mix but it sounds FANTASTIC!

Can you tell they are pissed off?

Let’s hope next weeks gigs are better. They are at THE JAILHOUSE in HEREFORD on WEDNESDAY 16th DEC (Hereford 6th Form College’s Christmas Party) and at THE JUNCTION in BRISTOL on 19th Dec 2009.

DASTARDS are back in London AND Bristol

Friday, December 4th, 2009

10 Dec 09 sees DASTARDS back at the Purple Turtle in Camden, London. Hope you can join us!

Then on Saturday 19th December DASTARDS are headlining at THE JUNCTION in Bristol. Get down and dirty … but don’t Stumble & Fall.

Aha! Got a new camera – So great DASTARDS photos SOON!

Thursday, November 12th, 2009

After using my little Nikon coolpix camera at nearly every gig since the band formed (back in 2005) I’ve finally got round to buying a Nikon D5000 DSLR which is supposed to take better pics in low light – and HD video too. George Guitar has got a more or less the same camera and Daisy (George’s sister) gets some great shots with it – making mine look a bit naff ..

So – the next DASTARDS gig is in London at the Purple Turtle on 10th Dec – so let’s see what pictures we get then!

DASTARDS play BRISTOL and BIRMINGHAM

Thursday, November 5th, 2009

DASTARDS are rolling up in Bristol this weekend (7th November) at The Cooler. Headlining this time is Kid Carpet. Join us there.

And on Sunday (8th November) DASTARDS are racing over to Birmingham to play alongside Two Door Cinema Club at the Hare & Hounds.

Should be two cracking gigs where the band isn’t headlining so you can compare DASTARDS to some ‘signed’ bands!

See you there.
