Flashlights - Slice Pie Reviews - Good & Bad!

This track has a great beat to it I found myself tapping my feet and hands to this track, it was a upbeat funky track, very fun , with great vocals.

I like how the instrument goes higher and lower at the start, it's really funky! I like the tune too and the lyrics are clear and well worded. The tune is quite catchy too!!

Catchy tune, Vocals wern't quite what I expected from the intro of the song which made it difficult to listen to at first but by the chorus it was more comfortable to listen to.

This song is pretty well-produced. Nice feel, catchy, and good energy going on. The vocals are not exactly my preference but they are competent and well-delivered overall. The lyrics are good and the song has a good commercial appeal I believe.

I loved it. Upbeat tune, easy to listen to, easy to understand the lyrics.

song was great! the drummer kept a steady tempo and groove, with a nice bounce made me want to move. the singers voice is calm but clear and direct, with lots of energy and emo. sounds good

Liked the arty start to this with the radio-esque extract and synth (?) effects over it. The melody running through on the keyboards was great and quirky, and liked the way it seamlessly moved into the vocals. Great beat, great vocalist, watchlisted!

I liked the overall sound of this track as it was pretty lively. There are some really good instrumental sounds on the track but I did think the vocals were sometimes a bit flat and I found the lyrics to be a bit repetative at times.

I liked the tune, the guys voice is good too, but the lyrics aren't great. Upbeat tune but depressing lyrics, "choking in a bin bag" makes me think of kittens!

it's cool...

Strange lyrics but quite catchy song and the singer has an unusual distinctive voice that i really like, i could see them doing well if they have some slightly better material.

Good song. Electro sound was a bit over used

I loved the space sample towards the start of this track, as I think it set it up well. The track has an out of this world feel to it. I can see myself putting this on to relax in an evening after a night out partying.

Great tension through the samples. Great combination between instruments, the electro melody was beautifully done over the acoustic backing. Very appealing and was able to recurr without boring me. The vocals are great and take over nicely with their melodies, they are sang well. A great passionate song.

I really liked the intro of this track and was worried that the rest of the song wouldn't match up to it. I shouldn't have been worried though, great vocals, lyrics and a great chorus added up to a very enjoyable 3 minutes listen.

Fantasy music built around the historic space walks. It's got a lively bounce in the rhythm and a sci-fi squashed up vocal with little melodic runs. Song is a love song in disguise and has a nice sentiment. Playing of the lead break is well suited to the music. The lyrics are thought out so that the song works on two levels. Sound is beautifully mixed and controlled. Fun track.

your presence was koo, original sound to it, needs a bit more range, but still was appealing, delivery was koo, fit the music well, lyrics were nice, not real great, but kept me into the song, didnt lose me at all from the lyrics, your presence and delivery on it really helped, instrumental was koo, nice lil vibe there, but nothin real amazing for me there, your presence/delivery was what really got this track moving for me

Outstanding, definitely a good one, kind of band a load of people would like to listen to, very catchy.

Quite a good track with a real mix of styles. Started off like it would be a light rocky track and then went a bit electro pop. Music had a really good beat and liked it when it picked up pace. The lead singer had an interesting tone but it did suit the song.

Although the vocals are quite flat, they do fit in with the track. Good steady beat keeps this track cathy. The lyrics are very good, has a touch of oasis to it.

I liked this track, i thought the vocals were strong and good and the track was well balanced.

Took almost a minute before the vocals kicked in but was worth the wait. Great lyrics and vocals plus the band was spot on with the timing and volume compared with other tracks ive listened to today!

Beautiful stuff lads. Both splendid and tremendous. The intro is quite breathtaking and something very unique and full of character. The vocals are lovely and the song flows like the River Severn.

The progression on the track seems to get better as it goes on, the vocals have to be clear.. you can understand them as is but could be cleaner, your voice sounds young.. but your voice builds well as the verses come to an end which works.

Intro reminded me off Pink Floyd, the guitar is quite nice, like the intro, the little synthesized riff, is quite nice, come on guys, do You like COMPUTER GAMES? Namely Final Fantasy or something. Ha, very good track, very different, very good indeed, I like this band. Yis… Good luck guys.!

this was alright, a pretty creative tune i thought. the structure of the song was good and it had quite an original feel to it. i thought it was also well arranged and well produced.

Very catchy. Wanted to hear more straight away. Could be a winner

Surprising that the random sound combinations pulled together so well, but still totally incrongruous with the vocals, felt a bit of a musical cut and shut. Liked the vocals and some of the lyrics but it didn't totally work for me.

I can only say that the acoustic guitar amused me on this. I also liked the synth-like arpeggios.

cool song, voice, instruments and samples brilliant package and a definate toe tapper and attention grabbing from the off MORE PLEASE!

A distinctive voice but eventually the whole song began to irritate..too many different things going on all at once.

like the little spacey bit running through the background and in the intro it was a nice touch. Very bouncy commercial track like busted/mcfly sound . Young sound for young people but definetley chart music.

Nice upbeat tune to accompany the good vocals to which are very distinguishable and different , I really like this song.

Great music! I love this one!

good song, nice vocal and lyric, tune good too

I enjoyed this a lot- reminiscent of Silversun Pickups and suchlike- I'd like to hear this in the context of surrounding tracks. The up-and-down electronic scales do seem a little odd, but they seem to work, overall. I think the track could benefit from more confident guitars to give it a real indie feel.

this song was pretty good, i liked the synth roll and the hook energy. great orignal style that is reamy but down to earth lyrics and the drum groove keep u entertained

Sounds like a walkie talkie radio commentary and a space ship sound. The music goes up and down through the scale most effectively and makes me think of interstellar travel. That voice is unique. Husky but low and I dont know wether it is a man or woman but it is very effective. The lyrics do sound very space like. I like it,it reminds me of some Jon and Vangellis tracks.

Me too! I don't want to say goodbye to this song. I guess I can't get enough of this song.

I hated this instrumental...that keyboard ..horrible..sounded so cheesy and old school..I just couldnt dig it..the quality is great though which is a bit odd..like why would you use that keyboard at all..when you obviously have the ability to make great quality..the singing about average.. i give this a 6

Sounded promising until the vocals kicked in, a deep vocal would suit this better in my opinion. Very polished sounding but not a particularly memorable melody. The slight 70s electronica sound was the most interesting feature. Could have been good.

A really rad track that has its own unique style and sound. I like the indie meets pop vibe this track gives off, its refreshingly cool and enjoyable to listen to
